Mr. Akshay Revekar is an academician, practicing architect and urban planner. He is registered architect from Council of Architecture (CoA) New Delhi and owns associate membership from Institute of Town Planners India (ITPI). He has done his B.Arch. (Bachelor of Architecture) from Madhav Institute of Technology and Science, Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh (A Grant Aided UGC Autonomous Institute). He also pursued his M. Plan. (Master of Planning) specialization in Urban Planning from School of Planning and Architecture New Delhi, An “Institution of National Importance” under an act of Parliament (Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India).

 

He has done his M. Plan. Internship in National Institute of Urban Affairs (NIUA), New Delhi, under Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India. Appointed as Research Associate in NIUA, he shouldered responsibilities of managing national workshops on solid waste management under “Swachha Bharat Mission” for various ULB officials at New Delhi. He coordinated with ULB officials and directorates of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram states during his tenure in NIUA.

 

Currently, he is working as assistant professor in School of Planning, Architecture & Design at Symbiosis International University, Nagpur. He has also worked as assistant professor in Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur. He has a diverse field experience of architectural and planning industry with key impetus on urban housing.
